chris i like this shot a lot you have the path leading you into the photo aswell as the lamps and the trees either side are fantastically covered in snow almost perfectly a great winter shot (wonder if a orton effect would add to this?)

Thanks simple! I had to get the shot fast because a gang of people were walking towards that path. I think that would have messed the shot up. I didn't think of an orton effect. Might add to the photo. I'll give it a try tonight.

I like the angle you have taken the shot from. I almost missed the woman in white. Nice camoflage.

While Orton brought out the saturation of colors, it gives this hazy look to the darker objects like the guy in black and the lamp posts. I changed the mode to 16 bit in Photoshop and then took it into Photomatix and used the controls there to fiddle a bit. This is what I came up with.
