Default My kind of Landscape is a Seascape.

Living so close by the coast here in Norway, naturally most of my landscape-pictures are indeed sea-scapes and not landscapes. Coastal waters and rocks, boats and maritime environment is my kind of world.

This part of Norway is not where all the dramatic and deep fjords are cutting deep into the mainland - thats on the west-coast - here in the easterly southern parts it is more of a relaxed landscape.

I would like to take you on a small tour to the skerries, small rocky islands along the coast, to experience the complexity of shapes, forms, sizes and colors of coastal rock.

Even though it is December and no green grass or any other kind of foliage / leaves are to be seen. Given the right kind of light (early in the morning or late in the afternoon) and the sun is cooperating a little, there are a multitude of color-shades to be seen. The ever changing sunlight - the little there is now in these dark winter-month, very low on the horizon - also changes the colors every minute and with them, the mood in every picture.

All you need is go looking for them. One of those evenings I was able to shoot this series her and I hope that some of you will enjoy the scenes, of which all are HDR's of minimum 5 exposures, put together.

# 5: A panorama-stitch of two (well, 10 really, because each 'panel' is a HDR of 5 different exposures...) pictures 1280 x 579 pixels. The original panorama is much wider and of 5 (25 in HDR) exposures side-by-side, stitched together, but there is really no place for it to be shown in here.

For those with smaller monitor resolution: width = 1025 height = 464

Very nice compositions...make me want to just step into the image and walk over the rocks on the far side until I reach the water!

Yes, shoturtle - I should have mentioned this. They are all 5-exposure HDR-renditions.

Thank you for your kind comments!

Lovely views. I do like the panorama in #5. Are the red buildings on the far shore fishing related?

Regards

Norway has a lot of nice nature, but for a tourist, it's an expensive county to travel in. Scandinavian living standard adds to the costs. a liter of beer costs nearly 10 at a restaurant / bar, so bring your own, when you come her...
