Thanks, Rob!

Yes, my wife and I can't get enough of the icicles that we took a photo of us with it, too.

But, no, that picture is not getting posted up here.

I really love those icicle shots. Especially the ones with the leaves trapped inside. I always think of New York as a big city. You sure have some pretty country-sides there.

Yes, Harriman State Park came as a surprise to us, too. We thought there was nothing there (the map doesn't say much) but it was teeming with activity. There were also plenty of lakes. I was able to step on the frozen surface of one but wouldn't venture two feet away from the banks.

Thanks, wolverines! The photo with the leaves trapped inside the ice is my wife's, BTW.

You may also want to look at visiting 7 lakes drive also. Very scenic area, highland falls is a nice little town to grab a bit, and you can take a tour of west point, home to the cadet on the hudson.

Yes, the icicles were actually along 7 Lakes Drive. Some roads were closed, though (not 7 Lakes Drive), we think for the season. Highland Falls sounds familiar -- but I may be confusing it with Highland State Park. We'll check those out and West Point, too. I remember there's a nice overlook on the Hudson River below from West Point.

Yes there is a nice over look of the hudson from west point. highland falls is the town right outside the main gate of the USMA. Yeah they close some of those roads till May.

Ah. Sounds very enticing. I'll try to convince the wife for us to go there this weekend. Thanks!
