Default Christmas Eve Sunrise

With all the snow country photos being posted, this is sunrise on Christmas Eve at a pier in Kaneohe, HI. Straight out of the camera with no processing to illustrate the effect of the volcanic haze (called vog, not smog) from an ongoing eruption over 200 miles away. Approximately 70 deg F.

Happy New Year to all!

20 below! Wow, colder than my freezer!

I should have explained that the color is from the haze.

Thanks for the comments Hards and Walter.

I don't want to live in these latitudes any more when I see pictures like these. An elderly Norwegian man told me, when I first moved here many a year ago, that Norway is a country for those specially interested. I did understand what he meant until I experienced my first winter...

You have done a lovely job.

Default Thank you

Thanks for the comment Alasdair, no problem Walter S. I very much like both of your photos of Norway. Makes me want to visit (not live). Actually, I did experience some cold similar to yours - I once did some work in a cold storage facility in Honolulu.
