Default Ice at Pond Mt

Back from a Saturday hike at Pond Mt Wilderness Area. The waterfalls were lovely and icy! Here's a view of high water levels at Laurel Falls:

I really like the composition of #1 and of course the look of the waterfall (because of the longer exposure time (?) I think). #2 looks good also!

I love the snow by the falls. Also the very sharp rocks and icicles and milky white falls.

I'll have to try shooting something like that before the winter is over.

#1 is very pleasing Mole. love the white silky water and the dark contrast with the vegetation. very nice.

Maggo - Thanks for your kind words. It is indeed a fine wild place! That was a 1/2 second exposure.

I like #1, the contrast of the snow and milky waterfall on the red and grey rocks is very pleasing to look at.
