BOTH of these photos are VERY NICE. But the left-side one is, simply, superb (in MY book). I REALLY, REALLY like that one.

I totally second NLA's comment - the B&W is amazing, but the colored one is breathtaking!

In # 1 -It's all about beeing in the right place at the right time - and of course, having your eyes with you to catch these fine emotions. You did just that, Kevin!
I love the way the rinsing sun hits the tall frozen grass in the foreground and "painting" that fence in a golden color. Warmth and cold at the same time.
Perfection!


The barn in # 2 is IMO too thightly cropped both left and right. It's a great motive, but it kind of struggels to get out. I like the "led in" of the foreground in focus leading the eye all the way up to the barn.
