Default Won Photo of the Month for January 2010

I entered my b/w photo of the Burmis Tree on bytephoto.com and after winning photo of the week, the image was then in the running for photo of the month. I've just received notice that I had won photo of the month award for January, 2010!

congrats! this is a VERY dramatic image... like the perspective, and it works very well in B&W... are those some kind of straps around some of the roots?

Thanks Squirl033, yes those are metal braces form fitted and spiked into the ground to hold up the tree.
