Great!
So you have been in Tom Sawyers and Huckleberry Finn's footsteps? Who hasn't red those books when we were young - I just loved them! Mark Twain forever - he knew how to tick a young boy's imagination.

In fact, Mark Twain, along with two other authors and their adventurous books (which I read when I was very young):
- Daniel Defoe's - Robinson Crusoe
- Robert Louis Stevenson's - Threasure Island
...triggered my couriosity for the sea, seafaring and travelling abroad, so they are to blame for my ending up in Norway! Allready as a 9-year old I decided that I would be a captain on a ship, when I grow old. I have not made the occupation of a "sea-captain" for real, but I own and partly buildt my own 23' leisure-boat.

Nice picture of that mighty river,BTW!
:-)

Yep. It's a treacherous friend, the river. I'd estimate about one percent of kids in my town drowned while I was growing up.

But it was an amazing place, all sorts of little sloughs and inlets, and islands no one lived on or cared about. And all sorts of interesting things lived out there.

I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
