Glad to see you attempting this type of photography!! Both thumbs up to you. I have to confess that I did not read what you had first said and glanced quickly through your photos, then noticed the triangles and immediately wondered if you clicked the shutter with your finger. Then I read your post.

I always use a remote cable release for night, long exposure, tripod shooting. If you don't have one then set the shutter timer and you will not see these interesting squiggles.

see thats what i thought it might have been. ok well i will try it without IS and see if i can sort out a shutter timer. cheers. will post some new pics when i take some
