Default some lightpainting

Yesterday morning my dog and I went up to Nose Hill park in Calgary's N.W. to set up somewhere interesting to capture a photo of the space shuttle's re-entering. My dog and I had some fun light painting this massive rock, laid there during the last ice age melt. I had some fun with this one and kinda like that my form and ghostly dog (to my left) were captured for the final image.

This image is two shots "stacked" using cs4. The light painting was done using my 500,000 candle power spot lamp defused with one sheet of white paper taped to the front.

Of course instruction given by my dog Cody on how to do all of this.

He's in high demand now, now that word has got out.

very nice spy. the light painted rock adds foreground interest. but i was immediately struck by the serene feeling, which is not usually associated with scenes including city lights. but with the dark rolling hills and the slight glow on the horizon, it gives a very calming sense.

Very nice. You really can achieve some neat effects with light painting.

Lovely photo, your dedication for being out at silly time of the day impresses me and really pays dividends.
