Default Kananaskis Upper Lakes

Took a drive with the family to this wonderful scenic place so close to home. That being said, it is our first time there. It was so warm there but the lake is still frozen....the ice is melting but is still about 3 inches thick.

These 3 shots are hand held composites of 8 to 10 images stitched together using cs4 to make that "wide angle" look.

Kevin.

These are absolutely gorgeous. I really love the composition and the superb tones in #1, that for me is the most striking image. the dead tree-stump's roots make for some nice lines in the foreground and the mountains look great in the background.

i also like the soft tones of #2, and the harder contrast and saturation of #3.

the last image is classic kevin, nice dark tones, and good contrast.

Thanks Dustin, here is one more.

....and in just 2 more months (July) all this lake bed I'm sitting on will be under water from the ice melt.

Absolutely love the second shot. To me, that's why i started photography. The serenity of nature, and just the sheer beauty of it.

Makes me wish I was there
