Default Thailand beach landscapes - landscape & portrait

Hi friends

As I posted in a thread a few days ago in the Travel section of these forums, I have been to Thailand a few weeks ago.

It's now time to add a few photos here (Landscapes section of Steve's forums). Here are my first two. From Kata Noi beach, Phuket, Thailand, a lovely peaceful, quiet beach (especially as it was not 'peak season').

Rode there on my hire-scooter one morning. Humidity was very high and there was some cloud build-up which I think add to the composition. What do you think? Both these photos taken with my Canon 7D and Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm.

Would appreciate your comments / feedback. As some of you might know, I often like portrait orientation for landscapes too! Any one of these you prefer? If so, why?

Cheers,

Paul

Many thanks Simple.

I probably am leaning to a preference on the 2nd photo myself... so that's why it's good to hear other people's opinions.

Cheers,

Paul

the reason i like the first as you are led round the photo by the curve on the beach and the nice cloud formation i would like to see what martin sykes program could add if it does that is
