Default Rainy Day in the Sequoias

Rain or shine I always find this a beautiful place. Overlooking Camp Nelson, Sequoia National Forest

A momentary break in the clouds lit up this small area of trees.

Great shots! I like the last one best because of the clouds, the atmosphere turning the distant mountain peaks a bit hazy, and the fall colors in the foreground.

I almost made it to Yosemite years ago. We were vacationing in LA at the time and planned to drive up there for a day or two. But a good old friend of our ours hijacked our plans and took us to Las Vegas instead. He said, "Whatcha gonna do there, stare at the trees? Here (in Las Vegas) is where the action is." At least we got to see the Hoover Dam...

Thanks vvcarpio

Living in the suburbs (not downtown like your photo's show), I will take staring at trees over being surrounded by buildings and lots of people any day. I hope you get another opportunity.

Mike,

"Rain or shine I always find this a beautiful place. Overlooking Camp Nelson, Sequoia National Forest"

Indeed a nice place to dwell; at cloud level and all
