Default Where God and Man Collide

I've been away this past week doing an intensive photo shoot in British Columbia. All my shots this week have been at night and I have a few hundred to go through. This one was what I took away from the first night and I had 6 more nights to shoot!

- Saint Mary's Church, Sorrento B.C.
5d MarkII, ISO 1600, f2.8, Bulb Mode - 7 seconds

OK SPY ! you come that close and don't holler hi to the Key Pen ... You are going to have to tell us how you got the steeple to bend like it does and tell us you had a semi truck in the back ground with its highs and massive spots on..... or was it one of the many sky lights back there... that sure is bright....

Awesome!
Although IMO the brightness could be toned down a bit...

I'd like to say that a meteor struck the ground right at that moment while angels sang but that would be pushing it so I'll have to settle with getting in position to wait for a train to come. It was pretty exciting to hear it coming and to make sure all the settings were right for the shot.

Thanks for commenting!

this is quite amazing kevin. the light radiating out of the church is amazing. this is one of those shots with impact, it really grabs you when you open it. excellent, can't wait for the rest of your shots over the last week.

(did you try one with the crossing sign and the communication lines cloned out?)

very cool, Kevin... looks like something from "Close Encounters"! i half expect to see pale, spindly aliens come walking out of the light beams...
