Default Sierra Nevada Winter Sunrise

We drove from So. Calif. to Lake Tahoe this past week, driving US 395 on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Stayed in Bishop, Calif. and rose at 7:00 a.m. to catch the sunrise (and the moon going down). Had to drive up washboard roads from Bishop to nearer the base of the mountains to get this 7-shot (vertical) panorama.

And a single shot from further down toward Bishop...before the paved road gave way to gravel.

Bishop CA, has to be one of the best fresh water fishing hubs in the state. I've been on that road many times ( if that's Line street ) heading up to the lakes.

Nice pano.

It's scenes like this that make me miss living in Nevada. Nicely done, Walter!

Just one more. Here is the washboard road I drove up toward the base of the mountains that early morning. A 3-shot HDR with additional postprocessing in CS 5 and Topaz
