Default Thank you all!

Well, thanks to some of your feed-back I have now decided on which alternative has the most likely composition and color.

It finally came down to this one here:

An I am very pleased with it.

Best regards,
Walter

P.S.: If you are not too bored with this, you may look up my other alternatives of this motive here: http://foto.no/cgi-bin/bildegalleri/...brukerid=74375

If I were a judge at a club competition, i would say the walkway in #1 is a big ROADBLOCK! #3 has the traditional come-walk-with-me lead-in on the left. Of course, if I were a judge, I'd know more and might have a different opinion. But that's me for now.

Beautiful! Was this with your 16-85? I am also considering this lens.

Just my thoughts too. I felt that the bannister / rail on the walkway was some kind of a hinderance. Something the eye had to climb over...

The settings were: camera: Nikon D300s - Lens: Nikkor 16-85mm ED VR - Iso: 200 and with 4 / 6 / 2 sec. @ f/7.1

Yest, paniolo - this 16-85mm is my dearest lens. I use it almost all of the time (and I do have a 70-200mm and a 150mm prime macro + my Tokina 11-16mm) and it covers 95% of my needs. It's really a great lens optical and build (steel mount) and also has the additional weather sealing-gasket against the mount, which gives me together with sealed D300s an extra protection against humidity and dust.

It really is worth the extra cost, compared to the 18-105mm for instance.

Best regards,
Walter

BTW, this is another shot I made the same night....

This left side here is where the right side of both #1 and #2 ends.

Thank you for looking:

First it # 1 #2 was to bright then Number 2 got a bit darker so it became # 1 choice to me but they are both great shots other wise one with depth and the other just more what is the other way thought.... I remember as a kid look at shots that told not of what might be the other way so they brought imagination to focus ...

The last choice and the last photo are great picks. And what a gallery you have! Stunning.

Only the walkway has been toned down in attempt to give the PIX a more balanced/muted lighted look which seems to be preferred in sample #1.

Hi Walter,
Nearly missed this. The one you have picked looks the best, I love the lead in and everything about it. It is a sensational image. Thats Fantasmajorical.
Like Ordo says, you have a stunning gallery.
