Default Where not to be in an earthquake

Along the roadsides of Interstate 15 north of Fallbrook in Southern California are eroding sandstone hills, with huge stone blocks and boulders (some large enough to crush a car) that are poised to come rolling down the hillsides - the hillsides above and the ground along the road shoulders are strewn with them. These pictures were grab shots taken through the windshield at about 60 - 70 mph (from the passenger side, of course) in late afternoon sunlight.
