Very nice, but I think a landscape mode would have been better. Just my opinion.

lovely place. i like the foreground, the contrast of the sky and sand. but like Walter i would like to see a landscape version too without cuttin off the monument.

Walter C/Hards80 Thank you very much for your comments. Im here to try and learn how to take better photos from people such as you. Hopefully my photos wont get in the way of all the fantastic shots posted by others.

Monument Valley is a spectacular place! i agree with the others... landscape mode, definitely. i'd shoot wide enough to get all of West Mitten Butte in. great sky, and the log in the foreground is a nice touch - adds some interest.

it's better, but could still be shifted to the right a bit. the butte on the left isn't terribly interesting, and the Mitten is still crowded on the right side.

i would agree. i like the foreground in the first image. i think keeping that perspective, but shifting wider and getting the whole butte in it would have been nigh perfect.
