Default Sailing on the summer breeze

Friday marked the start of the annual Newport (Calif) to Ensenada (Mexico) sailboat race. More than 100 sailboats were entered for a noon start near the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach. A few miles south I positioned myself on a 100 foot high cliff above the Crystal Cove State Park, where spring wildflowers were in bloom. As I arrived, some of the sailboats were approaching.

A different vantage point on the cliff showed part of a field of bright yellow wildflowers that grow to over 7 feet in height.

Walter,

Indeed wonderful pictures, simplistic, yet effective. You communicate the feeling of the breeze all the way to the skin. Excellent landscape photography
