Very tranquil image. I second everything Walter said. I can't wait to get back to the Outer Banks to do some surf fishing. Some friends and I go every Oct to Portsmouth Island (Cape Lookout National Seasore). Where in the Outer Banks did you capture this shot?

We stay in Rodanthe. This was taken a little north of there on the sound side.

I too like the dark tones and reflection of the sun on the water. Good split of sky and ground and positioning of the sun.

I like how this is an example of how pure white areas in a photo are not blown highlights.
