Default Blue Skyes, Golden Fields Of Wheat And White Clouds

Such a colorful title - and then it's all in Black & White! What a downer...!

I was going to test my polarizing-filter and found the right combination of blue skies and white clouds.

And all in one single afternoon! The shutter of my D300s almost got warm...

They all have such wonderful details, I can't decide which I like the best. Great shots! I just love the drama of black and white!

Gorgeous shots Walter, love your composition, and the cloud formations are smashing - you are so lucky to have skies like that to photograph. The last 2 shots are my faves.

G'day Walter

Thank you for showing me again how spectacular & beautiful B&W imagery can be
Please consider at least one of them as an 75cm > 90cm print onto the wall at home

Regards, Phil

- Thank you, JeannyBug. I'm glad somebody likes what I have shot.

- No, Jelpee - no colors - only B&W this time!

- DyaneG. Thank's for your comment. It is seldom a matter of being lucky to "have" skies (I see now that I have misspelled skyes / skies in my title...) to photograph, more than to go out and go look for them. It took me all sunday afternoon and 4 hours of driving with the car to find all of these motives and skies...!

- Ozzi Traveller: Re-discovering the "magic" of B&W was very good, I must admit. If you really want such a big wallhanger, you would be needing the original picture, from before resizing down to maximum 1024 at the widest. Thank's for the kind words!

- Hi'a banksy - me too was impressed when they came out as they did. I guess I must have had a good day.
Best regrads,
Walter

Default Another B&W

A socalled "Inland-boat"...

...which is a boat that is not for the oceans, but for inlandwaters, like big lakes and rivers. Like this on here which is an old timber tow-boat from the old days, really. Collecting timber and towin it to the sawmills.

Very nice series. I'm sure they will look gorgeous in color. But B&W for me gives them a deeply, richly, nostalgic mood.

Thank you, vvcarpio!

B&W is not for everything and everyone, but for these deep blue skies and the magnificent clouds, it's perfect!

Best regards,
Walter
