Default Aerials

A much needed break came a couple days ago with the call to get in the plane for a few hours and have some fun! The client needed some shots around Calgary, and tomorrow I head out again to cover another near by city. Also, very excited to get the news that next month will be my first helicopter shoot. Doors are off and with only a piece of fabric holding me in place!! Yikes!

I hope they have all those 'Jesus' bolts tightened up. If one gives way, guess who I'm going to go see!

Here's a couple shots from today.

I like the one with the boat, the best. The one over land would've been better, if not for the pesky wheel. Can't wait to see the shots that you take while strapped in! How are you going to secure your camera?

Thanks NHL, cmoy and JeannieBug. The camera is tied to my neck so if I drop it, it shouldn't go to far. Just hope the draft from the blades don't suck it out of my hands...

You need one of those frame thingies (so technical, I am!) I've seen other togs with them... It's like a tripod that's strapped around your torso... Know what I mean? That way you'll have more stability and no dropping.

Ahhh... Okay... I know I've seen them, but I don't remember what kind of cameras were being used. It very well could be video cameras...

I like flying over large earth moving projects. The heavy machinery have a toy look to them.

Very nice picks spy, specially the boat.
I love aerial pics. But you'll face a tough competition with Google Earth, ha, ha!
