Default Elowah Falls

took a day trip down to the Columbia Gorge yesterday to get some waterfall shots. these are from Elowah Falls, about 30 miles east of Portland, OR. 5D, 17-35, various focal lengths and settings...

All terrific shots, but that third one really does it for me.

yeah, the third one is, i think, the best shot i got there all afternoon. it was also among the last... taken at about 5:30 PM, just before dusk, but the sun had already gone behind the side of the mountain several hours ago, so the whole area was in fairly deep shade at that point. made for some nice, soft, even light... and a 5 second exposure!
