I love looking at the snow in the pictues. I like living in El Paso where we are having a cold front move through. The temp only reached 52 degrees (F) today. I will proably have to go play golf tomorrow.

i like the second picture. snow is beautiful to look at..at least for me since i've never actually seen it in person.

as for the picture. yep, the second one is nice however, i think we can't forget the "scene" when we take pictures. it has to tell a story and not just show a scene.
when i took a class on photography my teacher would always look at my pictures and call it "mugshots", i hated that!! but its something to learn from. he stressed composition of the picture and i "try" still to this day to do that...try.

For Phil and others that like snow scenes - Shot of our front garden taken this morning after a 20cm dump last night.

Phil: enjoy the golf game !

Phil, that's just cruel. I'm an avid golfer and the winter months are just torture.

Thanks to all for the constructive comments.

Howard, for people like you and me in the Northeast, you really should have posted one of your summertime photos of the Jersey shore. I was just visiting your gallery, and when I spotted that one photo where the rocks and driftwood are farther away than in the second photo, I sat here completely wrapped up in the remembered sound of breaking waves and seagulls calling overhead while a salty warm breeze wrapped itself around me.

Phil, stop being so mean. :P

The pictures are great and I do miss the east coast. I think that spring is the best time when I lived there.

Barbara,

I know exactly what you mean. I have a couple of the Jersey Shore pictures framed and hanging in my family room. I spend way too much time staring at them longingly. This one is my favorite on cold winter days:

Phil,

Having been born and raised in Manhattan I now live in Northern New Jersey. I'm sure I would miss the east coast but the warmer weather sure does sound nice.

Beautiful one, Howard. It warms up a cold Saturday.

Barbara,

Just noticed you live up in the Albany area, I have no right to complain about the weather down here. I'm glad the picture brought you some warmth. I lived up in Syracuse for 5 years so I'm very familiar with how cold and snowy it can get.
