They do have the helicopter option, it is a very nice and scenic flight. A bit pricey.

Yes I know, but they do have a helicopter option to fly vs taking the bus.

Machu Pichu is in Peru not Chile, though the scenery and the dangers of riding the bus are probably similar. I was in Ecuador last month and the roads were very safe, no problems riding the bus through the Andes.

That was actually a brain lapse, was not thinking correctly. For some reason I was thinking Santiago de Chile not Cusco when I was writing this post. As my wife and I were talking about going to South America again and Santigo was some one of the cities we are considering. Been like 6 years since the last time we went.
