Default Half-a-dozen images from a weekend wonderland

G'day all

I've just had a great 4-day weekend out "in the bush" as we aussies often call it > ie- not really the outback, but half-way-there so to speak. I was at a small [not-even a] dot on the map called Tresswell, in central Queensland about 1000km north-west of Brisbane

1- Sunrise on day-1 - what a way to start the day!!

EXIF= Fuji X-s1; 1/100s x f4,0; 105mm; iso-400; WB=sun

2- Looking the other way at exact sunrise - the first 45seconds of sunshine

EXIF= Fuji X-s1; 1/100 x f3,6; 60mm; iso-400; WB=sun

3- An few minutes before actual sunrise, still got some pink in the clouds & the mist rising thru the trees

EXIF= Fuji X-s1; 1/25s x f4,5; 160mm; iso-800; WB=sun

4- "Main Street" - the road through the outback, again an hour or so after sunrise :--)

EXIF= Fuji X-s1; 1/450s x f4,5; 85mm; iso-100; WB=sun

5- The soft, gentle colours just after sunset

EXIF= Fuji X-s1; 1/100s x f4,0; 90mm; iso-400; WB=sun

6- Brolgas 'dancing' around the lagoon

EXIF= Fuji X-s1; 1/75s x f5,6; 600mm+1,4x digital zoom; iso-800; WB=sun

The only pp done to these images is Levels [if appropriate] ~ colours & sharpness untouched

This event & the images are typical of those I shoot when running photo workshops out in the bush. Hope you enjoyed my weekend ~ I did too

Regards, Phil

Wowzers Phil. #1 is stunning! The rest aren't too bad either. ( HUGE understatement) Well done.

the colors in that sunrise are amazing, Phil! great composition with the tree as well. also like the shot of "main street"... makes me wanna gas up the Jeep and see where it goes!

Out where the rivers like to run, I stand alone, and take back something worth remembering...
