I haven't seen waves like that for a long time since I was in Hawaii many moons ago. Thanks for sharing!

Winds come from more than 8 directions, but there are (folkloristic) names for only 8 of them.

You'll see the similarities between Swedish and English; they are family

Starting from North and going clockwise

Nordan

Nordöstan

Östan

Sydöstan

Sunnan

Sydvästan

Västan

Nordvästan

Robert, I will let you know what I think. We spent last night in Utica, NY and today we are heading into the Adirondacks and stay a few days at a place called Saranac Lake that is close to Lake Placid.
