Simon40 -

My P&S is a canon sx260 hs .. a little later I will add the same pic with faster exposure time to show how dark it was out there last night. Any dullness you see is a light fog rolling through. I was lucky the fog wasn't heavy, like usual.
I believe I took this a little before midnight.

Thanks for the reply!

Pete

This one I tried at 8 sec and f8 ..... To me this is as close to the way it looked naturally... that 15 sec and f4 made a big difference

Pete,

Good picture of the bridge. The first picture is exceptional with good foreground clarity as well as the distant light. A little more post processing can make even better.

WCKSer - Thanks ... that second picture was just to show the difference in the exposure time and f stop - I don't have any software other than what comes with a computer for post processing.... everytime I have ever tried to make a correction I have always made it worse... All this stuff is new to me.... that is why I am glad to have found this site... to start learning.

Step by step - inch by inch.... I hope to get better
