Default Yosemite with Halfdome

I copied this 50 year old slide this morning with my just purchased Minolta 50mm f3.5 macro. Originally taken with an Alpa 6b in the good old days of manual film photography. Cropped at 16x9 HD format. As I recall, this was late spring and the valley was virtually empty of people. My copy rig is home made.

Default Yosemite falls

Same setup as previous one. This is the falls after a winter of deep snow and as good as the flow gets.

Default

The falls is a bit on the yellow side.
Im interested in your slide copier. Ive just recently found an old one that screw on my lens and I just raise to the sky and take the pic. Its about as good as it gets. But Im interested in home made do it yourself stuff.

Default Big Ron's transparency copying device

2.5 inch Ash slat from Home Depot, some wood glue, two small wood screws, short piece of vinyl tube, and a rubber band.

I usually shoot against a sheet of printer paper background as the sky will cause severe bluing. Indoors most any light source will suffice. If you turn off anti-shake(stabilization) you will be able to use this at slow shutter speeds.
