Default Trillium Lake

I found what I though was a nice perspective next to the trail, but someone had to go off trail to get their nice perspective and marred the foreground in the lower right corner. grrrr.....

Beautiful photos. I see by your time stamp that sleep must have been difficult. Cold, huh?

Beautiful shots. I really like the black/white conversion, I think you nailed the "film feel" quite nicely!
Thanks for sharing!

Thx

It did get down to 5 degrees with a -7 degree windchill, but we were toasty warm all bundled up. The only incident was when my wife went to moisten the pipe connector on the backpack stove and her lips stuck to the metal.

Pristien shots are hard to come by, most everywhere we go there are signs of human activity other than our own. I really like that second shot with all of the stars, I find myself trying to pick out familar constellations. Really nice images, both of them, I like black and whites but the subjects that I most often shoot do not lend themselves well to black and white compositions.

Great shot and brings back memories, camped there and Timothy lake many times but never in the snow.
