Hi photosbyvito,

You got it mixed up :-) You need to go to Delicate Arch by sunset to get the best lighting http://www.pbase.com/image/22014375 and to Landscape arch by sunrise http://www.pbase.com/image/22014373

Delicate Arch is a bit of an uphill hike, don't leave too late. It would be a bummer to get there just after sunset. Landscape Arch is a bit of a hike too, but no real elevation gain.

I went to the windows with sunset...

No arches in this photo... but if you are in the right spots you can get the windows with sunset

Also i went to The Garden of Eden in the early evening... Great light... (no pictures on the net (yet) )

Sunrise for Delicate Arch might work, but that is not what people do for 'the usual picture'. Still, interesting idea though. I should go there at sunrise sometime! Sunset for Landscape arch won't work. As I remember it the arch is directly east facing and behind a big rock wall. At sunset you won't see much of the arch at all because the rock wall is blocking the light.

PS 'The Windows' is another area in Arches National Park. Melanie, great picture again!!!

also in Arches National Park

The windows that is...

On of my favorite places in the park... Between 'the windows' and 'Turret Arch' there is a big rock...
I sat on that rock while making the photo from the sunset...
(together with around 50 other photo's :P )
