Default Lunar eclipse from the Netherlands

Hi all, a few results from the July 27th-28th 2018 total lunar eclipse as seen from the Netherlands. Pentax K1 with fa 24-70 f2.8. On our position totality occurred just before moonrise (about 10 mins prior to sunset). Totality would last 1h45mins from moon rise, a long time. Initially it didn’t seem we'd get so see much with the clouds but fortunately the moon popped out just in time.

35mm. Still faint in the clouds and twilight. 11mins past maximum totality

A short moment of beauty

7 mins prior to end of totality the moon popped out again

70mm decided to go to the tele end of the lens and interval-shoot from here. Shutter speed of 10 seconds is on the limit. Watching at full res shows some star trailing.

End of totality.

G'day GB

That is a beaut series of images you've got there - well done
A very different approach from mine, and I like yours ... by showing the world around you during the eclipse, it seems very different

Very nice. The brown cow sat very still.
Last one is my favorite.
