This shot was taken with my very cheap, very bad and very primitive Samsung digimax 200 camera (dont worry, im going to buy a new one soon) but i quite like the picture anyways

I think the Samsung did well, of course the photographer also deserves quite a bit of credit.

I'm a firm believer that buying an expensive camera only guarantees that you are now the proud owner of an expensive camera. Without the skills of the photographer it just an expensive paperweight.

Lovely colours, just goes to show what you can achieve with point and shoots...

Selvin is right a bad photographer will still take bad photographs with a good camera.

Yeai agree. But i would still say that you've might got a better chance of making a good shot if you have a good camera, instead of a crappy 100$ model.

well...there are arguments for both sides, like it's EASIER to take a good shot of a bird with a huge telephoto lens compared toa tinypoint and shoot..

but....you could be a terrible photographer with an amazing camera, and take....well...bad pictures..
