Which is best in a photograph such as this one, having a part of the flying machine (and my shoe) in the photo for prospective, or keeping it out of the photo? Usually I leave the machine out of the photo but some have said that it gives a better prospective when included.

This is Broken Top and the Three Sisters Mountains in the Oregon Cascades, taken last weekend.

I prefer it out, but having it in does identify how the picture was taken.

I like your view of the 3 sisters better than the one I had during my last visit to Bend.

Thanks for the feedback OHenry. I agree. Here is one without the machine.

PS: I was in Ashland yesterday. Too HOT over there!

LOL...yeah, but I prefer our winters over yours

Yep...I like it better without any of yourself or rig in the foreground.

I don't know...

I would leave part of the rear-view mirror in the frame to keep the shot more interesting, but I agree: lose the foot/shoes
Nice shot!!!

It is all a matter of personal prefence. I personally like the first one as it gives me the feeling that I am on that machine when I look at the shoe.
