Hi there, ccd333! This is a great view with the foreground having wonderful fall colors and detail. But, it also looks like this scene would have benefited from using a graduated ND or perhaps taking two exposures (one for the sky, the other for the FG,MG) and blending the two in PS. Still and all, I like it!

Hello ccd333;

All in all a very nice shot. I do agree with Geoffs about the blended exposures, but it's not a serious flaw as far as I'm concerned.

Vito... for all the trips you seem to be planning, I hope you buy a lot of lottery tickets. (but I agree... if there's one thing that this site does, it shows us some of the stunningly beautiful places we should all try to see in person.)

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

lol (inserting the different places into the blank...lol..

i think i've made it to a point i have enough places i could fill that blank over 200 times (that's a lot of gas money )

The thing that you have going for you Vito, is that you are young! So, keep dreaming and perhaps your dreams will come true...

Nice shot ccd333, I agree that all these pics from different places around the country and world just make a guy want to travel even more. What a person could do if money wasn't a problem...

Stunning landscape, ccd333.

In the lowerleft corner is a beautiful example of an "ox bow" turn in the water source.

It takes hundreds of years for these "ox bows" to form.

Eventually the "ox bow" will be "cut" by the water source and the water source will run straight...for a while...until another "ox bow" forms.

At the sides of a water source, you can actually see the old ox bows.

You are looking at water's work, over many, many years.

Thanks, digcamfan. Interesting info on the ox bow. It sure does capture your attention in the scene. Here's a closer view of it.
