Captured this shot in Cuba on my last day of vacation, November 19. I got a number of shots over about 20 minutes, but this was the best of the bunch. The camera is new and I am new to photography as well.

The original photo is 2048 x 1536. Camera is Canon S1 IS.

Here is my feeble attempt with PSP 7 to bring out more colour. I am just starting with this program, so I need practice!

I like the 1st image best.

Decent stuff for a beginner. No doubt you'll be getting excellent shots once you have more experience with the camera (and good results from post-processing once you get used to PSP 7). Practice makes perfect.

The 1st picture is nice. The highlight is definately the sunbeams

If I ever get a digicam (chances are high that one day I will) I'll probably be getting something along the lines of an S1. At the moment I own a film camera: Pentax Espio 80. Old camera. Probably from before the age of the (consumer) digital camera.

Anyway, keep practicing and getting better!

Note: I do not say I'm better than you. Probably the same level. By the time I have a digicam I thinkyour pictureswill be better than my 1st tries.
