Hi Russellnr2,

You have captured a lil' spot of peaceful :-)

One can almost hear the "water music".

Per your requests, here are some suggestions for you to consider...

- Use a tripod.

- Bracket your exposure (see your dig cam manual for how to do this) to bring more of the waterfall.

- Crop just a little.

Attached you find a slight edit of your photo for your perusal

I almost think a portrait set up would have given nicer results. The viewer wants to see where the water was coming from and where it is going. Allow the camera to tip up a bit to catch that part upstream just a tad. Play around with different angles to get your flow to lead your eyes through the scene. Take 30 shots from all different perspectives...try different shutter speeds (1/4 to 1 second might be a place to begin).

There are no bad things to say...just different things to try. In my mind, this is a never-ending quest to find that one beautiful moment and place in time with just the right settings to capture it as you saw it. Good luck on your quest! This is the place to get the help you need! Everyone here has helped me tremendously, moreso in their criticism and outside perspectives.

O.K. I see & I listen.

I did use a tripod but I see what you mean about the crop, it got rid of the branch from the left of the picture that seemed to draw the eye to it, I also take onboard the comment that to have seen a bit more were from & maybe were going to would have made an ordinary photo a better one.

Again thankyou for the comments, we live & learn (slowly)
