Always nice to see a nice juxtaposition...to see open water with snow on the shores...

"Cold Tranquility" ?

I like it, perhaps a gray, cold looking photo, but the water adds something to the shot that makes a positive statement.

Hi Bob,

I love the gentle muted colours, and amazing symmetry of this scene.

Wonderful photograph.

Canna.

PS Re Golfer's comments above - isn't it interesting how different images and places have different effects on us.... I find thescene reminiscent of nice weekend walks, and can imagine a warm pub a few frames away.

Lovely composition.

I like the noise/grain in the sky, it's very atmospheric (groan - sorry) - sometimes it's better to leave it in that slavishly run NR over everything.

Doesn't look to me like there's a pub nearby!

It's evocative for me in a "man is insignificant compared to nature kind of way". Perhaps because I grew up in Africa I've always been a little afraid of real cold at a very deep level. *shiver*
