Taken this past weekend at Mirror Lake in Yosemite Valley. Cloudy weekend and terrible for pics but I did my best.. just chalked it up to a learning exercise *S*.

Cheers,

Bill

the composition is great, however id like to see some more colour saturation. youve done really well considering the day, i find it almost impossible to shoot in low or fading light. :|

When I looked at this, my thoughts went to Ansel Adams. Here I took this and desaturated the colors and bumped the contrast a bit. What do you think?

Hey Terry and Vito,

Thanks for the comments and yep the B/W does look good. I spend a lot of time in Yosemite and shot like 4 rolls of B/W there one snow covered Xmas but have not scanned them all in. I like the B/W and Ansel did some amazing things while shooting in the park. I took a lot of pics this past weekend but a lot of them are out of focus for some reason. *S* Guess that means I am still on the learning curve with this new digital.

Thanks Fireman,

BTW.. thanks for doing what you do if your job is fighting fires. We in the community don't say that enough to the firefighters, militaryandlaw enforcement. I may not like the laws or the reason for wars but admire the men and women that rise to the calling.

I just know I am going to get flammed for those comments.
