I took about a ten km walk before work last week and found a wealth of photo opportunities. Here are a few of them. Unfortunately I had my camera set on ISO 400 from the previous day - not ideal for landscape shots.

#1 - Driftwood always looks best in the mornings

#2 - Morning skies make the scene so much more enchanting.

#3 - Close ups are more interesting with the backdrop of the rising sun.

#5 - Morning sun provides pleasant contrast between highlights and shadows.

One more tip - don't get to engrossed and arrive late for work just like I did.

John those are all beautiful, I'm not surprised you were late for work with scenes like that to grab your attention! The close-ups and sand dunes are my favorites, but it's hard to pick between them to be honest.

John.

Thanks John, Ladyhawk and Matthew. I have often wished I lived on the other side of the country where the sun sets over the sea. It would make life so much easier and I could sleep for longer. But I guess there would be alot more people on the beach.

Beauties John. Wonderful country you have there. I'm with you, the morning and evening light is the best. Don't like midday shooting much at all. Cheers.........thekman.
