Hi everyone! The leaves are gone and things are looking pretty drab around my area. I took this on a cold evening a few days ago. I have a oil painting by H. Hargrove of a winter scene that is framed by some trees that look like the trees in this photo, I'm not sure but I think I like the trees and cove more than the sky. Hope you enjoy!

This shot has a nice calmness to it. Subtle colours. Nicely done Bob. I guess winter is closing in on you now. I guess it won't be long before the snow hits. Cheers........thekman.

looks pretty chilly up your way, Bob... glad i live on the coast! it gets plenty cold enough for me as it is, without having lakes freeze over! nice photo, though... evokes a very somber mood.

Thanks squirl! The colder it gets the more somber I get! :G When we were kids we build lean tos made a big fire and camped out in the woods near this lake. We had to be nuts.

Very nicely done, Bob. I hate the thought of winter, Like you, I loved it as a kid.

Beautiful as ever.

Did you ever manage to complete your series of shots of the same scene, taken at intervals through the Autumn?

Regards, John.

Hi John, I took several photos for the series and decided to stop, that line of trees looked terrible when the leaves started changing. The leaves just seemed to turn brown and fell off quickly in this spot. The photos just didn't look very good. I may try to salvage a summer, fall, winter thing out of the series. Thanks for remembering.
