Can I ask why you did the crop you did? I can think of a couple of reasons (one, the reason you gave about accentuating the vertical-ness, and second to crop off the intruding trees on the sides). While I did find the tree branches on the right somewhat distracting, and the ones on the left didn't bother me - should they have? I am pretty much a newbie at this and I'm trying to understand why or why not to do something (not trying to criticise, only to understand). I don't quite know how to explain it, but the crop changed the subject somehow to me and I'm trying to understand why. Thanks!
