These wind generators are MASSIVE. Had the opportunity to see the hundred or so near Palm Springs, CA a few weeks ago. 50 yards (48ish meters)across on the blades! Nice sharp images BTW.

Just to answer a couple of questions.. photos taken with a Sony DSC F828, jpeg fine, real color, 8mp. I use a monopod. Pic 1 & 2 were taken a week apart from each other hence the dramatic differences in the sky. And yes I cheated with pic 1 with a polarizer although we don't call Montana "Big Sky Country" for nothing! Color and density corrected in PS6 and then the images had thier noise removed with Neat Image. So far there are 80 mills on this site with another 80 being erected next year. I hope to get a chance to document one of these suckers being set up. They are just huge!

Love these photos.

Please don't buy into the idea that using a filter is cheating. Photographers have been enhancing their photos with filters for generations.
