I took this on a trip to Darwin last year. Mindil Beach is a renowned sunset spot, as well as having a great beach-side market. What the photo doesn't show is the throngs of tourists further up the beach, and the handful of photographers like me moving around trying not to get them in our shots!

It was also a lesson in the use of a polariser for me. Getting the setting for the clouds just right often meant obliterating the nice sunlit reflections off the water. You win some, you lose some.

Nice capture. I wonder how this photo would look like without all that folliage at the top. I think it takes the focal point away from the boat.

Thanks for you comment Tullio. I did take one of just the boat, but thought it looked a little plain. Probably needed to take a shot between the two.

I agree. I like the first one more, specially the shore.
