Tullio

My daughter and son-in-law have a 16,000 sq. ft. home overlooking Lake Tahoe. Your pictures brought back memories of our Thanksgiving weekend there last year. We were leaving just as the first snow was falling. Thanks for sharing.

dear tullio,

when i viewed your pics...for a moment i just felt i was there. such was the impact on me. to just say how well you have done, this way and that would be just too unfair....and i kept viewing them for sometime.

well done tullio...keep up the good work.

you have your own web/gallery perhaps ? let us know.

regards

Thank you all for you comments. I very much appreciate them. I absolutely love Tahoe. To answer some of your questions, yes, there is an old castle-like house built on the island but I'm not familiar with the history of it. No, I do not have an online gallery yet. I'll get myself a pbase one of these days. I'm glad my photos brought back good familymemories, Walter.

Very nice photos! Isn't one of them of Fallen Leaf Lake? I think I've stood at that very spot and taken pictures several years ago.

The island in Emerald Baybelonged to the person who built the big home on the main land near it. I think I remember hearing that the building on it was used as a lunch house and place to spend the day, not as a home. I don't recall all of the story now (it's been several years since I was there). Lake Tahoe is a must-see location, if you are ever in the northern California/Nevada area.

Thanks, mtngal. You are absolutely correct. That is (frozen)Fallen Leaf Lake. The shot was taken from the top of the hill going toward Emerald Bay (I think the only spot you can get a clear view of the lake from). Tahoe is a beatiful place with lots to see and do all year round.

16,000 sq feet?...just a tad ostentacious wouldn't you think?...

Tullio, very nice pix, brings back many memories of Tahoe, Emerald Bay & Vikingsholm for me and those worry free summer vacations as an early teenager...loved it...thx...

It's about average for that neighborhood, up near the ski lodge.
