Well, I guess I can't win here. I chose tocrop the leftside outfor a couple of reasons. First, the tree was already placed slightlytoward the left so I had a bit more room on the right and second because I thought the tree shadows on the snow added more details to the picture. The backgroundalso seemed to have more depth on the right than on the left. But, as you said, it's all very subjective. A matter of personal taste, really.

LOL! You're right about the shadows - I hadn't noticed them as much as the vertical lined pattern on the left. After looking at it again, you've chosen the better crop (as I said, I'm a beginner at this!).
