Took these while in California last week.

First two are views of the beautiful California coastline.

Love the sunrise shot, looks very tropical and serene, not so much as HOT :-)

Hi LadyhawkVA!

Nice coastline, and thanks for sharing. Some friends of mine who have been in California have said it's a beautiful place, now I'm glad to see part of it via your camera!

The 2 photos of the coastline seem to have a different colour cast / white balance to each other? Was that on purpose, or by auto choice of camera, or in post processing? Not a big problem.

I like the contours and the way the clouds almost "reflect" the land's scape.

And colours of the "just after sunrise" photo is great too!

best wishes

Paul

pj1974:

I'm not sure why the color casts are different. I don't know if it's from playing with the polarizer or the PP settings.

Hello LadyhawkVa!

I love the "contrast" between first two pics and the third!

Kudos too for getting up at sunrise whilst on vacay!!! :-)

oddly enough, we have some at a Subaru dealership right down the street from my house! sometimes i wonder how they survive, but apparently they're hardier than most folks think...

Hi Ladyhawk, very nice pictures indeed. The California coast line is very beautiful (although the water is incredibly cold). What equipment did you use, if you don't mind me asking?
