G'day TG (I was born in Australia, so I'm allowed to say G'day, right!)

Fora 2 mp camera from a mobile phone these are great shots!Even though the actualy sky seems to have blown highlights / seems overexposed, this is understandable since it's not a photo taken with a purpose built digicam or DSLR! (But the reflected sky looks great though!)

You've captured great Aussie scenery with your phone! Congrats. As I miss Aussie's trees, blue skies and sceneries... I say:

"Keep shooting pix and please keep posting!"

Paul,

Shot was taken into the sun and the phone has no exposure control.. I think most digital cameras would have blown the sky out in this situation without any exposure compensation. Obviously its not in the same class as my Canon EOS 20Dor everyone else's camera on this forum but it does a great job for what it is. Even 6x4 prints look good from it.

Tom, yeah I think you're right! You (and the mobile phone cam) have done a good job in a difficult (large dynamic range) photo.

By the way, I like you avatar, it's a cool "action" shot of you (just a bit busy). What lens do you have on your cam there (in the avatar)? I've seen some of your photos and I like them.

Pls keep posting Aussie shots!! Oi oi oi!

Paul,

The Lens in my avatar is a Canon EF 300mm f4 L with a 1.4x TC on my old EOS 10D. The shot was taken at the Australian International Airshow. Iwas mucking around posing like a fool and a friend took the picture.

Tom.
