Taken handheld with my Canon Powershot A520 tonight, only editing done was cropping and I partially took out a powerline.

Didn't really take time with it or anything, just thought it was a decent-looking photo.

The joys of a point-and-shoot camera. The autofocus locked onto the sky and adjusted the rest of the shot hence the completely black foreground.

I just got back from my trip and looking at it on my desktop monitor (was on my laptop when I posted it)...it really is black. :P

Regardless the only editing I did was cropping; didn't adjust contrast or brightness.

Hi Justin, you might want to check your camera settings. The picture looks a bit over exposed (the blue sky looks washed out and some of the yellow bits are too bright. What settings did you use (i.e. mode, ISO, exp compensation, etc.)?
