That is some beautiful (rugged) country, and a nice view there.

I haveroamed the Santa Rita Mtns. south of Tucson several times. A lot to see and do in Az.

Must be one of the most beautiful places in your country.
I think one should spend some time there to capture images under various light and weather conditions. This is a kind of geography which would richly pay back a little bit of confinement. I also liked the presence of the settlement below the hill, in the photo.
The edit is surely an enhancement for the original. Still, I feel a little less of the sky from the top and a little more of the ground at the bottom would bring more grandeur and richness to the image.

Beautiful place. I'd need a bag with memory cards. I liked the second cropped image for it shows the lower foreground with all the tiny littlehouses compared to the huge rock mountain behind them. Now, John, can youPP the second one as well? (if drewas won't mind, of course!).I like the color saturation of the first one you edited!!!

Tullio, I'm glad you like the pictures!* Sedona is a great place and I'm learning quite a bit about using my camera.I'll spend some time tomorrow and follow John's PS tutorial ....* maybe I can get the colors a little more vibrant.* I was having more problems with the sky though!Come on out and I'll take you on a hike ...* lots of great places to enjoy your camera.
